"Respect + Restore + Revitalize"

The ARA is a non-profit corporation composed of East Austin community members who work to restore neighborhood integrity and economic vitality to Central East Austin while attempting to honor and preserve historic sites in the area. They compile ideas, designs and bids for commercial, residential and social redevelopment “in a manner that promotes diversity, stability and prosperity.” Their vision is encapsulated in the Central East Austin Master Plan (CEAMP) that is primarily funded by the City of Austin: the plan includes everything from condominium building, historic site rehabilitation, as well as street and infrastructure improvements.
